IBERIAN HAM CARDIOVASCULAR BENEFITS PROVIDED

Regular, moderate consumption of Iberian ham has cardiovascular benefits, according to a study by the Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid. Iberian ham and a ham bait was chosen to analyze the cardiovascular benefits of their consumption of safely.

The aim of the research, led by Dr. José Saban and performed by the endothelium and Medicine Unit Cardiometabolic, was to show the benefits of eating ham-level inflammation, oxidative stress and endothelial function related to cardiovascular health.
Proof: consumption of 50 grams of ham a day for six weeks
To conduct the study were selected about 100 healthy persons aged between 25 and 55 years, who consumed 50 grams per day of ham for a period of six weeks. Also slightly overweight people without cardiovascular disease and smoking were also included.

POSITIVE RESULTS AND BENEFICIAL EFFECTS OF HAM.The results of these studies were beneficial and showed that moderate and regulated Iberian ham consumption function improved endoital people who were chosen for the study. This function is related to cardiovascular benefits.
Endothelial and benefits tension remained until six weeks after completing six weeks of consumption of ham (50g a day), for the so-called "memory effect".

These benefits of eating ham are due to its high content of fatty acids and polyphenols, which are potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory vascular level. Furthermore, Iberico ham, Star gastronomy of our country, contains high quality protein and is rich in minerals and fat soluble vitamins.


ACORN HAM, HAM MAJOR BENEFITS OF BAIT

While positive results were in consumption of both Iberian ham, ham in the results were better, possibly because it has higher content of polyphenols.




HAM, INGREDIENT OF THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET

Although Iberian ham is considered harmful product in patients with metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, this study collects its beneficial effects, provided consumption is moderate and is controlled.
Furthermore, none of the hams that were used to conduct the research produced weight gain or change in triglycerides. Therefore, and for its delicious flavor and intensity, the ham, and especially the acorn, is one of the essential foods of the Mediterranean diet.
